Terms of Use

1. What this site is
We're an information and referral service, not a contractor. We connect you with independent asbestos professionals (DEQ-licensed abatement contractors and accredited inspectors) who serve the Salem area. We don't offer, bid on, schedule, supervise or perform any asbestos or construction work, and we hold no CCB or DEQ license because we don't do that work. The professional you hire does it under their own licenses. Salem Asbestos Guide is not a contractor, abatement contractor, inspector or laboratory, and doesn't offer, bid on, arrange, accept, schedule, supervise or perform any construction or asbestos work.
2. No contract with us for work
Any estimate, contract, price, warranty, notification, permit and work are solely between you and the professional you choose. We're not a party to that agreement and aren't responsible for the professional's work, pricing, conduct or results.
3. Verify credentials
We ask participating professionals to show a current CCB license and, for abatement, a current DEQ asbestos abatement contractor license (or, for surveys, current inspector accreditation). Credentials can lapse. Verify them yourself on the CCB license search and DEQ's contractor and inspector lists before hiring.
4. Information only
Content on this site summarizes public Oregon DEQ, CCB, EPA and OSHA information for general education. It's not legal, medical or environmental-consulting advice, and it doesn't replace a survey or the requirements that apply to your project. Ask DEQ or a qualified professional about your situation.
5. No guarantee of a match
We may not be able to connect every request. If we can't, we'll tell you and point you to DEQ's lists.
6. Your submissions
You agree to give accurate information and to submit requests only for property you own, rent or manage, or with the owner's permission.
7. Fees
Using this site is free for property owners. Participating professionals may pay us a flat advertising fee.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided "as is," and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it or from any professional's services.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version.
